Is It Time For A Major House Cleaning Project?

If you have decided that you want to clean your house from top to bottom, maybe you already have a plan to do so. But, if you're looking for ideas that will make your cleaning plan more efficient, here are some that might help you.

Floor Cleaning Solution

When you think about it, the cleansers you use will be part of the efficiency of your house cleaning project. One of the hardest parts of cleaning your house might be in getting your floors spick-and-span. After all, think of how they are used every single day of the year. Besides sticky spills in the kitchen and wet shoes in your entryway, there's also just the accumulation of dust that needs to be taken care of.

Water can be the base of your floor cleanser. Consider buying a concentrated floor cleaning solution and placing it into two containers. One of the containers will be a large bottle that will be used as you add water into a pail. The second container will be a spray bottle that will be used for tough spots that need extra attention. The great part about using the water-solution combination is that, besides the fact that it will clean your floors thoroughly, it will also be very affordable.

An Hour-By-Hour Plan

Are you going to try to clean your house in only one day? If so, think of planning a chore for each hour. For example, in one hour, you might be able to clean all of the bathrooms. In the second hour, do the dusting of all wooden items in your house. Vacuuming the furniture and wooden blinds might take up an additional hour. The kitchen and utility room might be done in one hour, if you clean rapidly.

As you arrange hours for cleaning the floors, think of cleaning all the wooden ones in one hour and tile floors during the next hour. Cleaning decorative knickknacks might not even take an entire hour. When you have finished cleaning the entire house, go through each room to see if there are last-minute things that need additional cleaning. For example, maybe you forgot to clean picture frames. Do that in your remaining cleaning time.

Once your entire house is totally cleaned, think of maintaining a cleaning plan. For example, if you put aside just a short cleaning time on Saturday mornings, your house will probably stay fresh and clean.
